GlasGrid® 8502 Applications
Ever since GlasGrid was first put into commercial use in 1989, we have been gathering data about the product’s performance in the field. GlasGrid has been used successfully to reinforce asphalt layers in many projects throughout the world to help combat reflective cracking caused by:
- Concrete pavement longitudinal and transverse joints
- Lane widening
- Asphalt construction joints.
- Cement treated layer shrinkage cracks
- Thermal cracks
Engineers have been using this solution on a wide range of pavement types.
- Parking Areas
- Low volume roads, e.g. Country roads
- Flexible high volume roads, e.g. Interstates, Highways
- Rigid high volume roads, e.g. Interstates, Highways
- Airport runways and aprons
GlasGrid has been proven effective in all climates and geographic areas, performing equally well in desert conditions and in near arctic regions that are subject to intense cold and seasonal temperature fluctuations.
