Saint-Gobain Technical Fabrics Introduces
FibaTape® Xtreme™ Environment Drywall Tape
 
(Buffalo, NY) – The world’s first and leading fiberglass mesh drywall tape brand, FibaTape®, has added a new drywall tape to its line designed to withstand extreme environments. The uniquely designed adhesive enables the new FibaTape® Xtreme™ to hold on for rapid temperature and humidity changes during drywall installation. The new Xtreme tape provides more tack than standard mesh tapes to make sure the tape stays in place. Contractors can feel comfortable that the tape will remain in place even if drywall finishing will not take place the same day.
 
The benefits of using FibaTape® Xtreme™ tape includes:

At many jobsites, rooms start the day cold and are then warmed up as work begins. These thermal extremes combine to create a moist humid environment. Unlike most tapes, FibaTape Xtreme is uniquely designed to adhere to cold walls and maintain a strong tack as humidity levels increase.
 
Even with great new benefits, FibaTape Xtreme tape still has the same great qualities as our standard fiberglass mesh tape such as the open mesh design which reduces time by eliminating the need for an imbedding coat. The open mesh design also prevents blisters and bubbles which are common when using paper tape.
